Project Manager with Strong Tech Skills

How to Plan a Webinar

This was a webinar I’ve delivered six times over the past year, and will likely deliver again. I developed the content, created the PowerPoint slides, presented live using DimDim, and handled all technical aspects of the webinar. I recorded the audio and synched it to the slides for future access on SlideShare.

The iTechies

This presentation was delivered as a session at an early childhood conference. My charge was to introduce participants to free web-based services. The challenge with this presentation was that I had only 90 minutes to present a wide variety of tools, and the session needed to be participatory. I chose to present using an Academy Award theme. I “co-hosted,” and audience members were part of the presentation process. The presentation below is an reenactment of that presentation. I created the PowerPoint slides.

INTRO to Social Media, Social Media Tools, Social Media Campaign

This was a four hour presentation delivered to youth group at Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County working to raise awareness surrounding teen and young adult mental health issues. The presentation included several opportunities for discussion, a game, exploration of tools and successful campaigns, and time to brainstorm ideas for their own plan.

Rebecka came well prepared and was very enthusiastic about her presentation. Her dedication and follow through after the presentation impressed me. I still smile when I think of her presentation from the National SpecialQuest conference.

I appreciated the workshop in Special Quest on free tech software.

Not only was the information relevant and useful, but such thoughtful planning, with humor, made sure the event was meaningful.

I am still sharing the info with everyone I contact. Great job with a fun-filled, jam-packed presentation!

Rebecka’s iTechies presentation was creative, engaging, very informative and fun! She helped us sort through free web-based social media venues giving us a chance to match their capabilities with our needs. Rebecka kept the session on track and I left feeling enriched and empowered to tackle social media networking at a higher level!

Rebecka delivered a fantastic workshop and presentation to The Peer Outreach Coalition at Community Action Partnership. Her presentation was both engaging and informative for both the youth and adults in attendance. We followed her advice about how to create a social media campaign and watched our fan base grow!
Recently several member of the Peer Outreach Coalition were interviewed for a local radio program. Two of the three members interviewed cited Rebecka’s presentation as their favorite training so far. Her presentation has been invaluable to to the success of our campaign.

I loved the iTechie session at NLSQ. It was informative and fun!
The presenters were very creative and I have tried some of the “free” sites.

I contracted with Rebecka to design and present a customized introduction to social media for our new peer-driven youth outreach project. Although the youth, ages 17-20, had lots of experience using social networking platforms in their personal lives, they were generally unfamiliar with the potential of using social media for an outreach campaign. The presentation itself was engaging and fun. But, the proof of her presentation’s value is that the Peer Outreach Coalition has reached and interacted online with hundreds of youth in only a few months about teen emotional and physical wellness.

As an early childhood educator for over 40 years, I have never attended a conference workshop that was more interactive and informative. We had a ball and learned so much. We didn’t want it to end!!

As a faculty in Higher Education (and a non-native techie user), Rebecka does a fantastic job of creating enthusiasm about the multiple uses of technology, provides detailed information regarding what various tech modes offer (with accompanying contact information), and eases the apprehensions one might have towards “diving in” to the world of technology. Her presentation at the National SpecialQuest Leadership Conference this past spring was exciting, fun, and extremely valuable. As an assistant (iReporter) for this session, rave reviews from those who attended were evident for the remaining days of the conference, and that enthusiasm was shared with other conference participants. Rebecka is extremely skilled in her field, and yet makes information to others completely understandable! How terrific is that!!!
